Dr. Maya Corneille is the Director of Nia School. She has a Master’s degree in child clinical psychology and a Ph.D. in social psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a certificate in education from Duke University. During her graduate education, she trained at the Virginia Commonwealth Univery Autism Center for Education. Dr. Maya Corneille has more than 15 years of experience teaching college, elementary school, and preschool learners. She specializes in parent and community education and has facilitated racial, gender, and disability justice workshops for organizations such as the Duke Center for Autism and Brain Research, VCU Autism Center for Excellence, and Duke Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
